John J. Horan, Ph.D., Consultant
John J. Horan, Ph.D., joined KnowConflict as an education consultant for courseware development and evaluation. A professor of counseling psychology at Arizona State University, he has concentrated his research for the past five years on developing empirically validated counseling interventions for the Internet.

Dr. Horan has written more than 200 papers and publications focused on the experimental evaluation of cognitive-behavioral intervention strategies, a number of which have won outstanding research awards from several professional societies. In addition, he has served as vice president of the American Educational Research Association and is an editorial board member and consultant for more than two dozen professional journals. He is a fellow of both the American Psychological Association and American Psychological Societies.

Dr. Horan received his doctorate from Michigan State University in 1970 and taught at Penn State University for several years before moving to Arizona State in 1985.
